Introduction to the use of arthropods in forensic investigations, including postmortem interval estimation, specimen collection, and evidence documentation. Lab component includes insect identification, rearing, and case study analysis.

Seminar course which introduces the student to the forensic science program at ASU along with covering current topics and emerging research in forensic science.

Forensic Science Service Learning
Spring 2022–2025, 2027

Service-learning course in which students apply forensic science knowledge in a way that assists the community. Iterations of the course have included investigating real cold cases in partnership with law enforcement and advocacy organizations, and the production of forensic science educational content for high schoolers.
